I just read reviews here and have no context in the people mentioned. I have been going to Mirror, Mirror to Stella monthly for the last 3 years for haircuts and have been pleased every time. She has come in early a couple times to fit me in and I do not believe I have ever waited more than 5 minutes for a cut. While I cannot speak to anything else, I have been immensely pleased with Stella’s craft and service.

I’ve lived in Chicago for 5 years now, and I just couldn’t find the right person to do my hair the way I wanted to, but finally I found Staci!
She is not only a great hair stylist but a great person, and she always makes you feel like home. I have never had a problem here, and I am always very satisfied with the results .
I highly recommend this salon! Plus you can get great products here such as the natural patches of Vermont which will help you stress out, sleep well and have more energy!
Also, you cant beat the prices of this place, and you can get valet parking with the guys at Nia if you tell them you are going to the Salon!

My husband and I have been going to this salon for over ten years now. Our hairstylist Stacey is the best! The salon is so clean and the ambience is uplifting. Whenever I feel down (as winter gets to me, for example), I know my spirits will soar after a visit to Mirror Mirror. And the staff is really nice– offering herbal tea, juice and other treats to the clients. My husband is super fussy but he likes the way Stacey cuts his hair. And Stacy cuts and colors my hair. Everyone loves the way my hair looks after a cut and color. Mirror Mirror is very accommodating, too– I’ve scheduled many last minute appointments.

I had my hair done yesterday for the first time at Mirror Mirror by a stylist named Stephanie and absolutely loved it. She took her time, made me feel at home, and I couldn’t love my hair more. I will be a client as long as I live in Chicago. Another perk – they have great prices and specials going on all the time AND it is on Randolph in the heart of restaurant row (right by Girl and the Goat, etc.) and so you can get your fabulous hair-do and then go out to a posh restaurant! I highly recommend the salon and my stylist, both were excellent.

Mirror mirror salon is one of my favorites. its reasonably priced, and I love all of the stylists. Everyone there has big personality and skill. Last week I went to have my hair colored and trimmed. Staci chose the right color.. chocolate brown, trying to go back natural; ) Jessica cut my hair and I must say even for just a trim it was exactly what I wanted it to look. I am very picky with who cuts my hair, and regardless of what these other reviews say I continue to be a faithful client to 807 w Randolph. Its sad to see some miserable people shoot down this salon. I had a great experience and will be back for another color and cut next month!!!

Jessica and the Mirror Mirror salon are still my favorites after over two years of going there!
She also did my hair for my wedding (and my mom’s hair, and my maid of honor’s…). The salon is clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly. Give them a try! Also check out Krystina (esthetician) for waxing, facials, etc etc.I love this place. And I love Jessica. Both me and my boyfriend go there for a cut. I get cut+style+color, it’s not the cheapest but can’t be for that kind of service. I also got one of those $65 packages on the street but I haven’t fully used it up yet; the place is worth the money. Jessica is the first stylist ever to say my hair is easy to deal with, everyone else always complains it’s too heavy, too thick, hard to control. But not her- she can do whatever I say and she really has the feel for the hair!!

So I have to admit I was not sure about going here but I sucked it up and tried it anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. There were no screaming kids and even though there were only two employees to the 5 customers it seemed well organized. I got a hair cut and highlights last week by Stacy and I am very pleased. In fact I am complimented all the time! I ended up going back for a mani and had no wait what so ever, they did a good job both times I have gone and I did not feel my cut, color, or manicure was over priced, it was a great deal! I give this salon a big thumbs us!! Thanks Mirror Mirror

A good 4 months ago, I am stopped on Michigan Ave on my way to lunch by an uber-metro guy asking about my hair. Normally, I walk by with sunglasses on pretending not to hear them, but this time I stopped. Five minutes later, I have somehow been talked into paying $60 upfront for a salon package at a place I have never heard of. Damn. Am I that easy of a sale? Answer: Yes – check out my closet…
As I am cleaning out my many purses, I find this receipt with a list of services which I have already purchased. Umm… awesome! I love free! So I call and schedule an appointment for my 30% off color service (so nervous for a new colorist!) and a free facial. Before I leave, I check out the reviews on Yelp and am a bit uneasy. Let me just tell you how the day unfolded.
“Hi, Do you have any appointments available today?”
“Sure for what?”
“:I have this coupon, blah blah”
“See you in 20 minutes”
Either that is awesome customer service, or a bad sign they have no clientele. I walk in for my free facial, and thirty minutes later as the last part of the mask is on, she offers a complimentary eyebrow wax. I don’t do eyebrows. I don’t know what to do and I was blessed without a unibrow. Nice! But again, free… okay! Relieved, I look in the mirror and I still have eyebrows and look great. Facial was seriously free (no upselling if you dont get “extractions”, and very good – Kristina made my skin feel great!) I walk out for my highlights, get a consultation and am on my way. Stella is very good at what she does. I didn’t let her give me low lights, but listen to her advice! She knows her stuff. She takes an hour and 15 minutes to do my foils. But they are so thin and perfectly parted, I am thrilled. She washes them out, things are good. Oh but wait, along with my 30% off color, I get a free shampoo, haircut, conditioner, and blow dry… what!!! Amazing.
Atmosphere: Modern, Purple, Lots of Mirrors, Gossip, Walk Ins, Nails, Hair, Massages, Waxing, Parking right outside in the “noparking” zone for clients… ya! And if you mention in passing to Stela that you have somewhere to go that night, she will style your hair for free ( I was going home to watch the first Steelers game, but I still looked good!)
I walked out of the salon very happy. The only negative I have is that it took 4 hours… you have to have time to really chill and have no where to go. This random package is absolutely worth it… listen to the metros who want to know where you get your hair did!

I’ve been getting haircuts from Mirror Mirror for several years now — as these repeat visits can attest, I’m really happy with my experiences there and the service I’ve received. I’ve personally been getting my haircuts from Stacy, and she’s terrific — warm, enthusiastic, and talented with a pair of scissors. I’ve never felt as though my haircut is being rushed; on the contrary, it’s always delivered patiently and carefully. Also, compared to other salons, the prices are reasonable for a quality men’s cut, so if you’re looking to try someplace new, I’d urge you to visit Mirror Mirror.

I’ve been getting hair done by Stacy for many years now and I have been consistently happy and satisfied. My hair always looks extraordinary when she finishes. (Cut & color!) She even taught me to blow dry my hair straight. I have also had a manicure, pedicure, massage, and waxing done by Margaret at Mirror Mirror Salon. She is fantastic. I am always was very pleased with all of the services.
All the staff are professional, courteous, and very friendly. Equipment is very clean and sterile. Considering location and expertise of staff – prices are not high at all. Very affordable. Typically busy, but very well run and organized. I will definitely keep coming back.

I had a great experience with my stylist Stacy, she’s a great stylist also has amazing customer service. I also had a mani pedi done by Sue who also was great. I will definetley be coming back. Very rare nowadays to find a salon that makes you feel like your just kicking back with some friends.

Such a cute salon with airy, high ceilings. They are moving next door to 807 W. Randolph, but I can’t imagine why they need to move b/c it looks like the salon has just gone under renovations with its modern decor and furniture. The ladies here are nice and do a high-quality job. I’ve come here for a manicure, facial, and haircut, and everybody did an outstanding job. The facial (by Ellen) was heavenly. You are brought into what looks like a kitchen of a restaurant, but that’s the facial room. It was so relaxing, I almost fell asleep. Oline is very meticulous with your nails and frequently asks you if everything looks good. She also gives an intense hand massage! Dessi is great with layered hair cuts. She isn’t much of a talker, but she’s efficient and cute! I’m not sure if I would come back here regularly b/c it’s far from me!
The prices are average: $15+ for a manicure, $38+ for a facial, $55+ for a women’s haircut.

I bought a gift card on the street for this place, and although I was skeptical, I decided to let my hairstylist give me not just a trim, but a makeover, complete with bangs and long layers. She did such a great job! Her name is Linda, I brought her a picture of what I wanted, and she gave me exactly that. She also gave me some helpful hints about my hair, telling me that I needed a protein treatment because my hair has been colored too many times. She wasn’t too pushy about selling me one from the salon, either. I just told her I was going to go to Ulta, and she was fine with that.
I definitely recommend Linda, I’ll be going back to her again when my bangs need trimming!

I discovered Mirror Mirror when my favorite esthetician, Krystyna, began working there. From the first day I went there, the entire staff treated me like family. To top off my continuing excellent service from Krystyna, I have now experienced fantastic manicures and pedicures from Aurora. This is a great place to begin your relaxation routine after a long day at work.
